The Centre for Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry in Linköping is located in the same building as the Centre for Oral Rehabilitation, with specialists in endodontics, prosthetics, periodontics and Clinical oral physiology.
Six orthodontists and two paediatric dentists are working at the clinic in 2016, as well as four postgraduate students in training. The staff also includes 20 orthodontic assistants/dental nurses and administrative staff.
The clinic has an open-plan treatment area with eight treatment chairs according to the Solo-Group concept. There are also two treatment rooms for more private discussions and treatments.
Alongside the clinic there is a dental technology laboratory that satisfies most orthodontic demands.
The clinic is fully digitised with respect to oral radiology and study models. We use Edward32 as our basic patient record system.
We have good access to patients, and fixed appliances treatment is mainly carried out using .022 Straight-Wire systems with MBT values and self-ligating passive and active systems such as Damon and SPEED. We also treat with lingual orthodontics (Incognito), aligners of the Invisalign type and temporary anchorage devices (TADs) in selected cases.
